Riverview recruitment is delighted to be working with Royal Free London (RFL) Property Services to appoint an Assistant Project Manager (APM) for their capital projects team. This is an exciting time for the capital projects team with an extensive 10-yr capital plan, some of the work includes new builds of hybrid theatres, doubling the size of treatment suites within Endoscopy, a multiphase scheme at Barnet to reconfigure the emergency and urgent care provisions and continuing the renowned imaging replacement schemes.
RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group and the organisations formation it has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS.
As an APM for the capital projects and external commission team, you will advise and support the Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and others within the Capital Projects and External commission teams. To take responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of aspects of Capital projects to ensure objectives are achieved in terms of specific performance, time, cost, and quality. Undertaking the role of Assistant Project Manager on Capital schemes.
Key responsibilities for this role will include supporting the scheme Project Manager, Programme Manager and others as may be appropriate within RFLPS with the overall project management of the scheme, including scheme programme, cost, and quality. To support the management of the overall scheme programme. This will include reviewing and developing programmes for various aspects of the work and monitoring progress to ensure they are delivered. To liaise with the Organisation’s clinical and operational teams, to organise the development of the detailed scheme design, output specifications and room data sheets.
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified and have vast experience of a variety of project support and administration. You will have a proven ability to Interact & work cohesively with colleagues and be able to exercise initiative and multi-task. You will have previous project management experience on a complex scheme and be used to working on risk registers, agreeing scope of works, and ensuring excellent coordination so that the delivery of service within a live environment is unaffected. You must be able to organise workload and manage outcome to meet planned objectives and use analytical and technical skills to project coherent, comprehensive, and concise reports that achieve their purpose first time.
This role would suit an individual who thrives in a complex environment and has excellent verbal and written communication to engage and support key stakeholders to deliver an extensive and vital scheme.
