Riverview recruitment are delighted to be working with Royal Free London (RFL) Property Services to appoint a Programme Manager (PM) for their Service Transformation Team on a minimum 6-month contract. This is an exciting time for the PMO team with an abundance of new works streams valued up to £250 million across their customers redevelopment programme and the role is an integral part of the transformational change that is afoot within construction healthcare work streams.
RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group and the organisations formation it has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS.
As a Programme Manager you will lead several complex programmes or strategic commissions, ensuring that the core principles of programme management are adhered to, whilst maintaining a focus on continuous quality improvement which underpins the way we work. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating these programmes and ensuring that they are set up to deliver over a number of years.
You will need to strategically as well as operationally lead the programmes, working closely with the SRO and Executive Lead. Significant experience in programme management is a must as you will be required to work across departments and all levels of the organisation to inspire, design and lead these improvement programmes. As well as being technically competent, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication so you can work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
As a Programme Manager you will have a high level of autonomy, self-drive, and will be able to manage multiple priorities and provide direction to teams to achieve the plan set out. You will need to demonstrate effective leadership skills, not only in working with a range of stakeholders to deliver change in your programmes, but in leading a project team which could be made up of project managers from Service Transformation and colleagues from wider change and support teams.
The role requires you to drive a complex, cross-cutting agenda and provide significant challenge and support to drive forward the improving value agenda. You will need to be an ambassador for improvement and model the integrity, patient focused and value for money behaviours essential to sustainable improvement.
This role would be ideal for an experienced Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager who is well versed in complex programme delivery and stakeholder management. You should have experience in developing and writing business cases for complex schemes (ideally Better Business Case accredited) and have the ability to hit the ground running and work autonomously in a fast paced environment.
The team are ambitious, enthusiastic, and collaborative and look to support each other to get the work done to the highest standards. Previous healthcare experience is desirable and understanding of complex construction initiatives in a live and large environment is essential.
