Riverview are delighted to be working with Royal Free London (RFL) Property Services to appoint a Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist for the Service Transformation (ST) Team on a minimum 6-month contract, based in North London.
RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group and the organisations formation it has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS. As the Reporting BI specialist, the post holder will work closely with business and project stakeholders to identify requirements and present them into user friendly, storytelling reports & dashboards.
Your consultancy capability will focus on providing cost effective technical resource to projects and business development activities and to meeting targeted levels of utilisation and productivity. This role represents an exciting opportunity to shape our company approach to Power BI and its integration within our consultancy services.
Our business strategy plans for this area aim to evolve into a significant component of our business. You will be acting as a Subject Matter Expert and your role will encompass supporting project team in developing reporting mechanism and tools to meet clients’ requirements, you will also be instrumental in developing technical skills among your colleagues. It is our ambition to develop BI skills among the team and you will act as a trainer and go-to person.
The post holder will be responsible for their own work, the majority of which will be self-generated and self -directed, with a high -level of autonomy and will be expected to adopt the lead in all aspects of their role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
·Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to various project and business units
·Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
·Performance Optimisation: Continuously optimise existing Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
·Training and Development: Train team members in Power BI best practices and tools
·Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability in reports and dashboards.
·Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver Power BI solutions on schedule.
·Efficiently handle large sets of data and be able to confidently process them into required formats.
·Provide technical input and effective data analysis to projects to support the achievement of deliverables to time and budget.
·Provide support to the consultancy team by set up and configuration of reports and dashboards to match client’s needs
·Set up new government structure or review of existing project arrangements to make sure project’s objectives are communicated and monitored by the project board in order to make effective decisions
Skills & Experience
Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area
Prince2 Qualification or equivalent project management qualification
Formal training on Microsoft packages or equivalent demonstrable experience, Power BI and Excel critical
Proven experience in Power BI development and data visualisation.
Power BI certification is a bonus
Experience of supporting the implementation and performance management of strategy and policy within a complex organisation
Evidence of financial management experience or training
Proven ability to problem solve, analyse and manage change in a complex organisation
Utilise sophisticated problem -solving capabilities and critical thinking to help address management challenges and program development
Experience of establishing new governance processes or reviewing the existing arrangements to ensure successful delivery of a project
Well -developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence and motivate effectively
Excellent decision making, planning and execution abilities in a fast-paced environment.
This is an immediate requirement and will require working on site 2 days a week, flexible working arrangements can be met.
