Riverview recruitment are delighted to partner with Goodenough College to appoint a permanent Receptionist within their growing hospitality and facilities team.
Goodenough college is a charity which provides residential accommodation to post graduate students from all over the world. They also provide 4 star accommodation at their boutique Hotel in the heart of London. The hotel is a central part of the estate, providing financial stability to the educational charity.
The key purpose of this role is to create an environment where guests feel welcome, at home and keen to return. The right applicant will come from a hospitality background and ideally worked in a boutique style hotel where you are willing to offer exceptional and professional front of house service. In this role you will also be responsible for dealing with bookings and requests for information through the reservations team.
Key responsibilities;

To ensure all guests receive a professional, warm and individual welcome, which gives a lasting and positive impression.

To be the first point of contact for all guests and provide a courteous solution to any issues.

To be responsible for check in/check out using the hotels PMS system.

To offer portage to all guests on arrival and departure, this is by stair case as there are no lifts in the 65 bedroom hotel.

Report all facilities and maintenance issues on the helpdesk.
The reception at the hotel works on the following rota system and the shifts are rostered a month in advance with flexibility on shift changes as and when required.
Based on working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis that includes weekends and bank holidays. Early; 7.00am - 3.00pm and Late; 3.00pm - 11.00pm
