Riverview are delighted to support a global service provider that maintains one of the iconic skyscrapers in the Financial district in the city of London to find an exceptional Shift Leader (preferably electrically bias with HV) to be part of a high-end service division, ensuring the best maintenance service possible.


Role Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Work with management to ensure training plans are in place and implemented.

  • Maintain the image, appearance and professional standing of the team at all times.

  • Supervision of M&E shift and day team.

  • Deputise for the M&E Manager as and when required.

  • Plan and manage workload on shift; scheduling works based on priorities to ensure completion of PPM’s / and reactive work orders within defined SLA's; highlight any concerns to M&E Manager.

  • Ensure high degree of communication at shift handover via verbal handover period, shift log      book, email and status board.

  • Liaison with other service providers to provide an integrated service. Provide timely customer feedback verbally face to face.

  • Sub-contractor management.

  • Act as Authorised Person for control of work and specialist contractors to agreed.

  • Permit to Work System (all project work to be controlled).

  • Carry out electrical switching operations on systems within Change Control Process and authorization limits to agreed switching programmes.

  • Lead in shift training by scenarios and lessons learnt; knowledge from O&M's & site drawings. Operate critical plant where authorised.

  • Ensure compliance to client and health and safety processes and procedures at all times for all      work carried out by staff and sub-contractors.

  • Carry out toolbox talks, workplace assessments and audits at required frequencies supporting TSM as required.

  • Adherence to the business processes and procedures with correct financial approvals.

  • Ensure appropriate budgetary control is exercised on all spend (parts, tools, instruments, training, PPE).

  • Continental shift pattern (days and nights)

Experience & Skills Required:

  • City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in designated trade.

  • HV qualified

  • Extensive previous experience of technical maintenance in a building services environment & previous supervisory experience in a critical environment.

  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental processes.
