Riverview Recruitment are delighted to be working with RFL Property Services on an interim hybrid Power BI specialist role.

RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group and the organisations formation it has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS.


JOB SUMMARY:


As the Power BI specialist, the post holder will work closely with the Head of Finance to design and build a dynamic, user friendly and diverse dashboard to improve the data collection via automation and provide better understanding for Finance and HR divisions.

Your consultancy capability will focus on providing cost effective technical resource to designing the dashboard, using vast and complex data from different sources. This role represents an exciting opportunity to shape our company approach to Power BI and its integration within our consultancy services. Our business strategy plans for this area aim to evolve into a significant component of our business. You will be acting as a Design Expert and your role will encompass supporting the Head of Finance in developing reporting mechanism and tools to meet clients’ requirements.

The post holder will be responsible for their own work, the majority of which will be self-generated and self -directed, with a high -level of autonomy and will be expected to adopt the lead in all aspects of their role.



Main duties and responsibilities:


·Power BI Development: Design & develop, a lasting and meaningful Power BI dashboard for two main organisational units.

·Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

·Performance Optimisation: Continuously optimise existing Power BI solutions for performance and usability, focusing largely on automation functions.

·Training and Development: Train team members in Power BI best practices and tools

·Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability in reports and dashboards.

·Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver Power BI solutions on schedule.

·Efficiently handle large sets of data and be able to confidently process them into required formats.

·Provide technical input and effective data analysis to Head if Finance to support the achievement of deliverables to time and budget.

·Provide support to the consultancy team by set up and configuration of reports and dashboards to match client’s needs

·Set up new government structure or review of existing project arrangements to make sure project’s objectives are communicated and monitored by the project board in order to make effective decisions



Personal Specification

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area

  • Prince2 Qualification or equivalent project management qualification

  • Formal training on Microsoft packages or equivalent demonstrable experience – Advanced excel

  • Ability to demonstrate design capabilities of similar dashboards using Power BI.

  • Proven knowledge of a substantial accounting finance system


Experience/Knowledge

  • Proven experience in Power BI design & development and data visualisation.

  • Power BI certification is a bonus

  • Experience of supporting the implementation and performance management of strategy and policy within a complex organisation

  • Evidence of financial management experience or training

  • Proven ability to problem solve, analyse and manage change in a complex organisation

  • Utilise sophisticated design skills to ensure the best layout and usage of dashboard to meet client’s expectation & needs.

  • Experience of providing finance system support, creating previous company dashboard for financial data use.

  • Well -developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence and motivate effectively

  • Excellent decision making, planning and execution abilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrate investigative and analytical skills.


This is an immediate requirement for a minimum 2-month assignment. You will be required at central London offices 2x a week and the rest can be working from home. This will be a 35 hour week, 9am -5pm and will be paid on a premium daily rate basis.
