Riverview are delighted to be supporting CloudNine Projects Limited to find a new Project Manager for a 12-month FTC based in Edmonton, North London on an exciting new development role.
CloudNine are a national consultancy, delivering innovative bids, projects, collaborative management systems and social value strategies within a fast-paced environment. CloudNine launched in April 2022 and draws on more than 30 years’ experience across the public, private and social enterprise sectors, with projects typically ranging from £500m to £1bn+. With project hubs in Manchester, London and Birmingham, we work with multi-disciplined teams and clients across several sectors, including infrastructure, construction, defence, FM, utilities and waste/renewable energy.
We have a strong reputation for delivering projects to a high quality and within tight, often challenging timescales. Our business is growing quickly and we are recruiting for a Collaboration and Social Value Project Manager to join our delivery team on an Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) construction project in Edmonton, North London.
You will help to develop an iconic ERF in Edmonton, North London. The new ERF will manage up to 700,000 tonnes of residual waste a year across seven boroughs. It will generate electricity to provide power for 127,000 homes and generate heating for a further 50,000 homes and businesses in the local community of Enfield. Once developed, it will be the greenest ERF in the country.
Role Overview:
As Collaboration and Social Value Project Manager you will have experience of working within public sector procurement projects (within the built environment / construction industry).
Within this role you will oversee and manage social value and collaboration-linked projects as part of our CloudNine PMO. Supporting the Collaboration and Social Value Leads, you will establish and maintain project management standards, processes and methodologies while providing guidance and support to project teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills will be crucial for effectively collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring successful project outcomes. As a key team player, you will work across the SV and Collaboration team, overseeing two apprentices and reporting to the Collaboration and Social Value Leads. You will be required to be onsite for a minimum of three days per week, with the option to work remotely for the remainder.
Key Responsibilities:
Key duties will include defining project objectives, coordinating workflows, creating and maintaining schedules, developing project plans, identifying collaboration needs and ensuring seamless communication across teams and departments to align social value and collaboration initiatives with project and community needs.
This role will involve measuring and reporting on collaboration and social value metrics and outcomes and include:
Process and strategy development: define, develop and implement ‘best for project’ strategies and processes to create positive impact and encourage collaboration, creative problem-solving and innovative thinking
Stakeholder and community engagement: foster open and transparent communication between project stakeholders to support the integration of social value and collaboration initiatives and collaborative working best practice.
Where relevant, identify and engage with local communities to understand requirements and develop/implement community engagement programmes that address challenges and deliver positive social value impacts in the short, medium and long-term
Measurement and reporting: develop and maintain Power BI reports to measure and monitor the impact of social value/collaboration activities. Communicate progress via regular team meeting.
Project execution: monitor project progress, manage risks and proactively address issues that may impede overall project success. Adhere to relevant project schedules, budgets and quality standards.
Team engagement: collaborate with our client, project teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure social value and/or collaboration is integrated within, between and across teams. Give support and guidance to other team members as required, including hands on participation where necessary to ensure a best-for-project approach
Client relationship management: develop and maintain strong relationships with the Client, Contractor and relevant stakeholders to achieve project objectives and positive outcomes
Communication: maintain clear and consistent communication with teams and individuals, providing regular updates and addressing issues promptly.
Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management on infrastructure projects, with a focus on social value/collaboration
Knowledge of social value principles, frameworks, and measurement methodologies linked to public procurement, including relevant UK social value legislation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience of presenting to senior managers, multi-disciplined teams and project stakeholders
Client focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong and demonstrable project management skills, including the use of collaborative project management software (MS Teams, Power BI, Word, Excel, Miro and Monday.com)
Analytical, with strong problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure (going the extra mile when needed)
